A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". With Introduction by Mabel McIlvaine, this is a collection of writings about Chicago and the Civil War. Clean copy with light green cloth boards. Light bumping to spine ends and corners. Slight fading along the very top of board edges. Interior is clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has a little chipping on corners, spine ends and on edges. Rubbing on hinges and on both flap folds. Light spotting on back cover and there is a white scuff mark on inside front flap.

Spine is slightly faded from sun.
