A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". 1966 Facsimile Reproduction of original 1883 Edition with Preface and Acknowledgement added. 96 pp. In slip case. Crisp, bright and clean copy with very minor edgewear and a small mark on top edge near hinge. Glassine cover is clear and bright with very little wear. Slip case shows some wear with 2inch closed split along bottom fold. Some darkening and shelf soiling along edges. Very nice copy.

Subtitled, "The Highlights in the Life and Works of the 32nd President of the United States." Over 150 photographs. Tight trade paperback with clean interior and paper age darkened. Covers have edge chipping with tip of front bottom corner missing. Creasing and some rubbing. Dark red background is bright, with Roosevelt's picture on the front -- has a scuffed spot on the top of his head. Apparently published at FDR's death, and in very good condition, given its age. Lovely bit of nostalgia.

Dust jacket has chipping, creasing and tearing, with several chips missing. Still, intact and now in protective cover. Good reading/reference copy.
