U.S. Government Printing Office 1943 Seller ID 008296 "Revised in the Office of The Judge Advocate General of the Army and published by direction of The President: Effective April 1, 1928: Corrected to April 20, 1943", information on title page. This copy was the property of an Army Air Corps legal officer. It is intact with a little loosening of hinge and corner and spine end bumping and wear. Boards are khaki-colored with rubbing and previous owner's name and rank on front cover in ink and stamped on rear board.Interior has taped in memos and notations: "Accused' Rights As to Testifying"and "Explanation of Plea of Guilty" on front end papers. Front free end paper, under a taped in legal memo, is the previous owner's name and rank in ink followed by his different locations in WWII. First two places in England, 1943 and Jan. 1944, then Normandy, 25 July 1944, and then two other French locations through 26 Sept. 1944. Inside is a memo to "All Staff Judge Advocates, ETOUSA, Subject: Death Penalty" signed by Theo. F Cangelosi, Capt. JAGD for the Assistant Judge Advocate General. There are margin notations and markings and text underlining throughout. A JAG officer's working resource and an unusual collectible piece of WWII.
