A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". New York Whittlesey House 1941 6th Printing Hard Cover Very Good Very Good- 
1941 publication about air attack on the homefront and the defense against it. 334 pp.Tight copy with previous owner's bookplate on front pasted down paper. Light wear to boards and slight soiling to front page ends. Dust jacket has light chipping and creasing along edges. There is a stain that begins inside the front flap on the top corner and extends across front of dust jacket, extending down as far as 1 1/2" at one point, into the print of the title. The background is dark, and the stain is not very prominent, but does show in the white print. There is another stain on the rear cover and flap right on the top corner. Also some rubbing/soiling shows on the white background of the back of the dust jacket. None of the staining affects the book which has a clean interior.
