A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Garden City, NY Garden City Publishing 1929 Reprint Hard Cover Very Good- Very Good 
482 pp. Red boards show light corner wear and some bumping wear on spine ends. Front hinge is beginning to loosen, and there is a slight separation beginning at front free end paper. Previous owner's Christmas gift message is glued onto front free end paper. Pages is tanned. Dust jacket has tearing on top of spine at hinge, and spine ends have chipping with slight loss. Spine is darkened, and there is small area of tape residue on top hinge.Corners show light chipping, along with other edges. Light background shows rubbing, as do flap folds. Now in protective covering.
