A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Signed by Irish author/poet O'Faolain, this is a limited and numbered edition, #27 of 250. Green cloth boards have some wear on extreme edges and slight bumping to spine ends. Slight discoloration on outer and top edges. Top board has very slight warp. Unpaginated and opens to signature on one page. Decorative end pages have some discoloration and there is occasional foxing throughout. Dust jacket is bright with some chipping on corners and spine ends with 1/8" loss on spine top. A little tearing on edges. Light tan background shows slight staining on front top and on hinge. Light rubbing and foxing.

"Second Edition Published July 1907" stated on copyright page. 86 pp. with 4 pages of advertising, one of which is uncut. Two color cloth quarter-bound shows light rubbing/soiling. Hinges are tight - opens to signatures in places. Corners are worn with some bumping. Board edges have a few light scuffed spots, and top spine end has some scuffing with fraying. Small scuff spot on middle of spine . Bottom of spine has 3/4" of damage at front hinge with cloth torn. Previous owner's name on front free end paper with date, July, 1907. A few instances of small pencil marks in margins.
