Tan cloth boards with bright gilt title on spine and bright gilt mustang design on front board. Very minor edgewear. Dust jacket is orange with Beeler's illustration, a horse and rider with wild mustangs on front panel. Price remains. Minor edge wear. Tope edge has creasing and tearing/fraying. Corners have light chipping wear. Front has a few small smudges, and rear has a spot or two. Light rubbing on hinges and flap folds. Now in protective cover. A very nice signed copy of a Western classic.

Classic account of battle written by commander of a platoon during the Battle of the Bulge. MacDonald would go on to write other authoritative works - a highly-respected military historian. Hard to find First Edition, so stated. Tan boards with blue design and print - front board has respresentation of a CIB (Combat Infantryman's Badge) and print on spine is bright. Corners and spine ends show bumping and previous owner's name is on front pasted down paper. Boards have soiling and marking. Front hinge is beginning to loosen. No jacket.

Classic account of battle written by commander of a platoon during the Battle of the Bulge. MacDonald would go on to write other authoritative works - a highly-respected military historian. Hard to find First Edition, so stated. Tan boards with blue design and print - front board has representation of a CIB (Combat Infantryman's Badge) and print on spine is bright, but there is a stain which has darkened the lower 1 3/4 in. of spine and onto about 1" of front bottom edge. Also shows faintly on bottom edge of back board. There are a couple of other faint spots on the back of spine. Edges show a little darkening and inside cloth edges have a little foxing. There is a gift inscription on front free end paper and an ink number and mark. Else clean interior. Page ends have some foxing. No jacket.

Light rubbing shows on pale background of dust jacket. Slight chipping/wear at corners and bottom spine ends. There is a small brown spot on front cover next to the illustration (army socks). Nice copy.
