A.C. Greene's 50+ Best Books on Texas

A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". We at Texas Star Books try to keep copies from Greene's list on hand. Some are easier to find than others, so we may not have them all. To view his picks, click on the book title. Crisp and tight copy with clean interior. Light edgewear, and bottom edge of front board has two white marks. Top corner of front board has very faint pencil mark, and rear board has very faint white line.

Price-clipped dust jacket has slight chipping on corners and spine ends and creasing on edges with a few small closed tears. Spine area is slightly sun-faded. Rear Panel has a few dark spots/smears.

Previous owner's stamp on front free end paper - else clean interior. Dust jacket is bright and colorful with very slight wear. Tiny spot on top edge of cover. Very nice book club copy.
