A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". One of "The Texas Monthly Guidebooks". 242 pp. Trade paperback is tight with corner and spine end wear. Corners curl slightly, and there is a small clear desposit (maybe clear glue?) dried on the lower portion, on the "C" of "Completely Revised..". Top corner of first few pages has a light damp stain, and there is a little creasing on bottom corner of first few pages. Also a very light damp stain on bottom page edge at spine which extends onto bottom page margins for first several pages. Slight shelf soiling on page edges.
