A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Bright and crisp copy. Clean with very minor shelf wear. Published by the author. Burlap and brown cloth. 309 pp. + foldout map intact. Dust jacket has light chipping on corners and spine ends and top edge shows a little creasing and fraying. Tan background shows light rubbing. Now in protective cover.

Signed by artist, Virginia Erickson, writer, Sue Brandt McBee, and designer, Dwain Kelley on front free end paper along with date, 1-22-76. Oblong format, 9 3/4"W X 8 3/4"H. 129 pp. 129 pp. Lovely sketches of historic homes and buildings of Austin, published by The Heritage Society of Austin to coincide with the American Bicentennial in 1976. Bright red boards have light corner and spine end wear. Previous owner's name on front free end paper - clean text block. Dust jacket has moderate rubbing wear which shows on red background. Spine ends have chipping loss about 1/2" Edges have creasing with a vew small chips and closed tears. Now in protective cover.
