Bill Mauldin Up Front Cleveland World Publishing 1945 First Edition Third Printing Decorative Cloth Good No Jacket 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall Cartoonist Bill Mauldin, the GI's friend, created Willie and Joe and a few enemies among the command. Patton even asked him to knock it off, but Mauldin kept taking the dogfoot's side. This WWII classic opens to signatures at half-title page and is beginning to split. It is intact, however, and will make a good reading copy. Brown boards have a dime-sized light spot on front board, and slight bumping on corners and spine ends. Pages are tanned.
