A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Revised from 1937 issue. Crisp copy with slight right lean. White boards show substantial foxing/spotting, and page edges have very light foxing. Clean and bright text block. Price-clipped dust jacket has white background which shows light spotting with some rubbing at flap folds and hinges. Spine is a little tanned. Top of spine has creasing/fraing, and top edge has creasing and a few small tears - one 1" closed tear. Top corners at flap fold have chipping wear and top corner of rear flap has small missing area. Bottom edge of spine has light wear.
