Previous owner's name in ink on front free end paper, and the number "88" with underline. Clean text block. Dust jacket has price intact and some corner chipping. Spine ends have fraying and a little chipping. Front panel shows white rubbing on illustration by Vito de Vito. Spine shows very slight discoloration, and rear panel has a few light rubbing marks. Now in protective cover.

Front end paper has scuffs from library identification removals. Rear and front paste-down show darkening from dust jacket flap fold. Title and publication pages have library stamp in bottom margin. Clean text. Paper covering rear hinge is splitting but does not affect hinge itself. Dust jacket has no library markings and is in protective cover. Spine is somewhat sunned. Light creasing and corner/spine end wear. Hard to find first edition, first printing, sturdy and usable.

Corners have light wear, while spine ends have light creasing and wear. Hinges show slight rubbing wear. Light background of back panel shows a little dark rubbing and some red smears.
