A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Fairchild Hiller Corporation Hard Cover Very Good No Dust Jacket 4to - over 9" - 12" tall 
Camouflage boards on this square quarto, 11-3/4" X 11-3/4", unpaginated. Many illustrations, both color and b&w. Parchment paper used for map of southeast Asia in red and for song, 'The Red River Valley'. Edges have some rubbing and a little chipping wear, and rear board shows a slight bit of rubbing. Top page edges have damp stain extending into margin extending 1/4" across some pages and last page has damp stain on both sides about 3". Sturdy and usable copy of scarce book.

Large format, 8 3/4"W X 11 1/4"H. 214 pp. Stars and Stripes decorate boards with Buddy Hart's picture in uniform on front board. Story of an unsung American hero - one of thousands. Let us not forget a one of them. Bright, crisp, clean and tight copy.

Philadelphia D. Appleton & Co. 1846 Reprint Hard Cover Good/Good No Dust Jacket 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall 
2 Volumes, Complete Set. Vol I, 536 pp. Vol II,509 pp. Debossed cloth boards show light rubbing - bright gilt design on front board of each volumes. Forward edge of front board, Vol. 2, has small dent. Gilt title and design on spine are a little rubbed. Both volumes have been repaired, Vol. 2 having the spine piece re-glued and showing the beginning of separation at lower portion of front hinge. Corners have some chipping/bumping, as do spine ends and hinges to some extent. Previous owner's name written in old-fashioned script on front free end paper of both volumes which also have slight soiling/spotting. Extensive foxing on most pages with a little foxing on page edges. Top page edges also have some soiling and darkening. Both volumes are intact and sturdy.
