A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Signed, "Best Wishes, Mary Whatley Clarke" on front free end paper. 254 pp. Bright, crisp, square with clean interior. Bottom of forward page edge has a small, vVery faint spot.Dust jacket has price intact and is clean in protective cover. Some creasing on edges. Very nice and scarce copy - signed.

Sincerely, Lewis Nordyke' . Yellow cloth boards with red graphic and print. Book has slight right lean. Corners show light bumping wear, and spine end have light wear. Dust jacket has substantial creasing with tearing. Top 2" missing from spine section, and lower portion has chip missing and is separated from front hinge. What is there of the spine is faded. Price is intact, though! Now in protective cover.

Transcribed by Estelle Tinkler from the Panhandle-Plains Museum collection, Canyon, TX. 169 pp. Brown marbleized finish boards with bright gilt type on front and spine. Bright and tight with clean interior. Dust jacket has light sunning on spine and a small scuff at top of front hinge. Two small closed tears on top edge and light chipping on corners.Now in protective cover.
