A.C. Greene's 50+ Best Books on Texas

A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Bottom of forward page edge has a small, vVery faint spot.Dust jacket has price intact and is clean in protective cover. Some creasing on edges. Very nice and scarce copy - signed.

Cloud. with a newsclipping pasted beneath it announcing Cloud's award by the Texas State Historical Survey Committee for 'Best Historical Publication of the Year on Local or Regional History'. 390 pp. Gray cloth boards with bright silver print. Clean interior with slight darkening of end paper edges. Minor spine end wear. Dust jacket has price intact with light chipping on edges. Upper right corner of front panel has small lightly scuffed area, apparently from price tag removal. Now in protective cover.

Dust jacket has substantial creasing with tearing. Top 2" missing from spine section, and lower portion has chip missing and is separated from front hinge. What is there of the spine is faded. Price is intact, though! Now in protective cover.

Bright and tight with clean interior. Dust jacket has light sunning on spine and a small scuff at top of front hinge. Two small closed tears on top edge and light chipping on corners.Now in protective cover.
