A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Indentions in on right side of soft front board and across bottom about 1" from edge. Corners and spine ends have some wear with a little tearing. Front hinge is loosened and rear hinge is slightly loosened. End papers have world map. Rear blank end paper has small black smudge. Else clean and tight interior. Sturdy and collectible.

Front board has several very tiny white specks and a small brown mark on the right margin. Top page edge has very faint smudge, and forward page edge has a small spot and a little faint smudging. Interior is clean, bright and crisp. Laid in is an announcement of the book with guidelines for preserving family histories and a form to reserve a copy of the book, $50 each.
