New York, NY Charles Scribner's Sons 1940 Early Reprint Cloth Very Good No Jacket 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
Tan linen boards on this early reprint of Hemingway's classic work of fiction. Boards show light wear - bumping to corners and spine ends. Red on spine is worn and rubbed. Hinge is beginning to show some loosening. Previous owner's bookplate on front free end paper - else interior is clean. No dust jacket.

New York Bramhall House 1955 1st Ptg. Thus, Rev'd Edition Hard Cover Very Good Very Good- 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
War stories edited by and with an introduction by Hemingway. Stories by Tolstoy, T.E. Lawrence, William Faulkner, Churchill, Kipling, Stephen Crane - many others. 1,072 pp. Red boards have slight corner wear and bottom of spine. Top of spine is bumped with very small tears. Front board has 1/8" dent in center near front edge. Page edges have some soiling and damp stains which do not affect interior, which is clean. Dust jacket has light chipping on corners, creasing and chipping on top and bottom spine ends. Front panel and spine are black and show some rubbing, and there is a small hole which coincides with the hole referenced in the front board. Rear of dust jacket is white and shows rubbing and damp stains along with red stains.
