Weddell Lovely well-preserved copy of best-selling author Harold Bell Wright's, "Shepherd of the Hills". Probably first edition, but not stated. Copyright 1907; published September 1907. Dark red cloth boards with silver print, with a few letters showing wear. One of John H. Weddell's illustrations graces the front of the book and they are scattered throughout the story. Book is tight and sound with some yellowing of the pages. Previous owner's name stamp on inside front board. Slight rubbing to edges and very slight fading on spine. Mylar Protected Now. Graham Cootes Harold Bell Wright is known as the "most popular writer of the early 20th century", and there are six illustrations by well-know artist of the day, F. Graham Cootes. See Photo of illustration. Boards are very fine maroon cloth with gilt embossed borders and lettering. There is some slight corner bumping and edge wear. Pages are clear with very little age discoloration. Amazingly tight and clean copy of a lovely, old book. Price: 13.50 USD
