A.C. Greene's 50+ Best Books on Texas

A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". We at Texas Star Books try to keep copies from Greene's list on hand. Some are easier to find than others, so we may not have them all. To view his picks, click on the book title. Look for the book, itself in our inventory, too!

See Photo - First major work by well-known military historian Bruce Catton about the power struggle in Washington to organize the superhuman production needed to win World War II. Book is in very good condition with penciled note on ffep. Corners and spine slightly bumped, and on the top edge of front board is a 1 1/2" scuffed place. Looks as if someone left a square sheet paper clipped on the first end page so that there is a square discolored area on the front and the rusty mark of the paper clip on the reverse side with a little rust on the opposite page. Book is tight and dust jacket has price intact, though chipped a little on top spine and front top corner. Mylar protected.

WWII, WORLD WAR II, BIG BUSINESS, AMERICAN INDUSTRY, PRODUCTION BOARD, WASHINGTON BUREAUCRACY

Price = 35.00 USD
