A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Author cites sources on German and British side to answer questions about Germany's plan to invade England and why it failed. Book has some corner bumping and shelf wear on bottom edges. A little weakness at signatures and front hinge is slightly loosening. Boards are a little faded. Dust jacket has some chipping with loss on top spine and corners. Some rubbing and creasing on front cover and a tear near top hinge with closed tear. White background of back cover shows some rubbing. Price clipped. Now in protective cover. Book Club edition.
