Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". 1st Ed., 1st Ptg. Tight copy of a study of WWII and looking ahead. Corners and spine ends show some light bumping. Tan cloth boards show rubbing and spotting. Damp stain across top of rear board which extends to the inside but does not affect pages or margins. Previous owners name on front pasted down paper. Bottom page ends have substantial spotting which affects the very bottom of first few pages. Some staining on top page ends which does not affect inside and front page ends have a very small spot or two.
