A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". First published in 1978, this edition is expanded with many photos. Oversize format, 8-3/4"W X 11-1/4"H. 125 pp. Bright, crisp, tight and clean copy with very minor corner and spine end wear. Dust jacket is also bright and clean with very little wear. Nice copy.

Introduction by James Hilton. 259pp in this wartime book about Belgium's resistance to Nazi invasion. Burnt orange cloth boards have slight bumping to corners and spine ends. Front free title page has stamp of previous owner - else clean interior. Middle of book has weakening in the gutter between signatures. Dust jacket has creasing and tearing to bottom of front. Two 1" tears, one at front hinge and another about an inch toward center. Also a 1/2" tear at bottom of front fold. Back top edge has chipping and tearing, as do spine ends. Rubbing shows on burnt orange and yellow of dust jacket - especially on hinges and flap folds. Spine is sun-faded.
