A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Rest of interior clean and bright. Dust jacket is made of heavy, quality paper and has price intact. Corners and edges have a little creasing and wear, and spine ends have light chipping. Pale green background shows rubbing, especially on hinges on flap folds. Front hinge area of dust jacket has small separation on top and bottom. Now in protective cover.

Dedicated to "The Old Cherokee Strip Riders who galloped up and down the Old Cimarron with me in the years ending in 1889". Rust-red colored cloth boards with black graphic of cowboy and horse and black print. Light corner and spine end wear. Pages are tanned, and interior is clean but for on tiny smudge in margin of one page. A few bottom page corners have slight creasing.
