A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Frontispiece art by Jose' Cisneros and signed by him. Also inscribed to previous owner and signed by author on title page. 79 pp. Tight with clean interior. Bright red cloth boards with tan cloth spine which shows insect damage on rear. Top 1" of cloth on rear hinge has been eaten away to expose the cardboard of the spine. Other smaller places eaten away. Still, book is intact and red cloth of front board is bright with bright gilt print. No dust jacket, as issued.
