A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Printed by Globe Printing Co., San Antonio. 494 pp. Six-Guns 1084; Rampaging Herd 1103; Basic Texas Books 99; Dobie Dykes 21; Graff 2020; Howes H816. Ex-college library (Ohio State Univ.) copy. Label on lower spine and other library markings, scuffed rear pasted down paper and rear free end paper has remnant of Due Date slip. Blue-green cloth boards with graphic of trail drive - shows some rippling of cloth and moderate edge wear. Bottom page edge has ink spotting, and forward page edge has darkening on top corner. Book has definite right lean. Last page has small penciled note - may be other notes though none apparent.
