A.C. Greene's 50+ Best Books on Texas

A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". 369 pp. Plus Appendix, Plus reproduction of 'The Farwell Times', Farwell, Parmer County, Texas, Feb. 13, 1908. (32 pp + advertising). Large format, 8"H X 10-3/4"H. Red leatherlike boards with bright gilt print on spine. Book is slightly cocked. Page edges have a few very faint spots. Previous owner's name on pictorial front free end paper - else clean and bright interior. Dust jacket has price intact. Edges have light chipping, creasing and a few small closed tears. Flap folds show white from manufacturing miscalculation. Rubbing on edges and on red background. Now in protective cover.
