A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". We at Texas Star Books try to keep copies from Greene's list on hand. Some are easier to find than others, so we may not have them all. To view his picks, click on the book title. A.C. Greene was a noted author and editor and well-respected observer of Texas and Dallas in particular. This is his critique of Dallas and a guide to living there. 1st Ed., 1st Ptg. Tight copy with tan cloth boards which show three light damp stains on front board, also reflected on inside dust jacket. They do not affect front of jacket nor interior of book. Slight wear to corners and spine ends. Previous owner's name on front free end paper and a few instances of highlighting of text. Maroon glossy dust jackt shows some rubbing and wrinkling. Wear to folds and edges. A little chipping on edges and one tiny tear on top front edge.

Corners have light chipping wear. Front has a few small smudges, and rear has a spot or two. Light rubbing on hinges and flap folds. Now in protective cover. A very nice signed copy of a Western classic.
