A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Dust jacket is bright with minor wear and rubbing on spine area and on light background of rear jacket.

Los Angeles Times clipping, article about the tourist drive of '49 (1849, that is) in back of book. End papers have darkened, as have edges of deckled pages. Very nice book with a little of its own history.

Front and spine bright and colorful with patriotic art. Very nice copy.

White background of back cover shows rubbing and soiling. Someone wrote in ink a small "6E" at the bottom edge. Jacket in protective cover.
