A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Biography of a pioneer in broadcast journalism, Edward R. Murrow made his fame during World War II as a war correspondent in London. He then went on to CBS television as one of the most believed men on the air. Copy is tight and crisp with slight shelfwear and rubbing on boards. Dust jacket has minor wear with chipping and a small tear on the fold of one corner.

Biography of Audie Murphy by noted military historian, Texan Col. Harold B. Simpson, signed by him on front free end paper, with 'Best Regards'. Bi-Centennial Edition with introduction by The Honorable Olin E. Teague, U. S. Representative from Texas. 466 pp. Bright and tight copy. Red boards with bright gilt print on spine. Corners and spine ends have very minor wear. Top page edge has faint foxing, and bottom page edge has light shelf soiling at corner. Christmas gift inscription on front free end paper. Clean interior. Dust jacket has price intact. Bottom edge of front panel has tape repaired 1" closed tear. Spine has crease that extends halfway down and spine ends have slight fraying/tearing. Hinge edges have minor chipping. White background of spine and top of front panel has foxing. Rear panel has very slight rubbing and a small ink mark. Now in protective cover. Very nice copy of biography of American hero.
