A. C. Green has left us, but his love of Texas, its various parts, its history and literature lives through his bright and lively work. Greene, in his literate and plainspoken way, gave us the great gift of a guide to Texas literature in 1982, "The 50 Best Books on Texas" and in the 1998 revised version, The 50+ Best Books on Texas". Set of 6 in the New Century Library Edition. Brown leather binding with Browning's bright gilt signature on front board of each of the six volumes. Spines also have bright gilt print and graphic. Without printed date but circa 1900. Small, 6-1/4"H X 4-1/4"W. Sepia-toned marbling on end pages. Edges have slight fraying. Volume I contains Chronological List of Browning's Published Works. Nice collectible set.
